(KZN.RU, July 5). On July 13, citizens will watch the film of Tatarstan director Pavel Moskvin “Emptiness” on the embankment of Lake Kaban Kazan. A creative meeting with the film-creator will be after the film screening.
“Emptiness” is one of the few contemporary Russian films, inspired by the realities of the Russian-Chechen conflict of the 90s. It is the successful full-length debut of Tatarstan director Pavel Moskvin, which was praised highly at international film festivals. The Russian premiere took place at the cinema and theater festival “Amur Fall” in Blagoveshchensk.
The film is a parable about the atonement of sins. The young veteran Dima returns home to his mother and tries to start living again, but the ghosts of the past do not let him go. The hero is trying to improve, to be cleansed from sins, passing obstacles prepared for him by fate.
The film screening will begin at 9 pm, reports the press service of the Directorate “Time of Cinema”.
